Welcome to the Capital Area Astronomy Club!

As we complete our reorganization process and finalize our move to the Fox Park Observatory, we are excited to announce our updated meeting schedule.

​

Starting Saturday, October 10th, 2026, at 7:00 PM, regular club meetings will take place on the second Saturday of every month. Whether you are a seasoned observer or just getting started with stargazing, all are welcome!

What to Expect at Our First Meeting

• 🌌 Meet & Greet: Get to know fellow members and local astronomy enthusiasts.

• 🔭 Future Plans: Discuss our goals, upcoming projects, the operation of the Fox Park Observatory, and exciting plans for the club.

• 🪐 Observatory Tour: Explore our fantastic Fox Park Observatory facility.

 

Membership Benefits

Interested in joining or have questions? Membership in the Capital Area Astronomy Club includes:

• Monthly Meetings: Access to all regular club educational sessions

• Volunteer Opportunities: Sharing the night sky with the Lansing area at our Fox Park Observatory Public Nights.  Any help is appreciated!    

• Exclusive Access: Member-only events at the Fox Park Observatory and use of its equipment.
