The Annual Fox Park Star Party was held Aug. 1-4 and we had some of the best skies yet for the event. All four nights were spectacularly clear and allowed for viewing some Deep Space Objects throughout the weekend. Attendee's were treated to some amazing views through Tom's 28 in Dobsonian- thanks for bringing it out again this year. Also Dave brought out his new Takahashi refractor- Wow! On Saturday night Joe B. came by with a new 20? inch dob that he just picked up in Indiana. Jason helped him collimate it and Joe wanted to test out the mirror to see how the scope performed. We had some great views with that new scope.

Two attendee's drove from Illinois- One from the Chicago area and one from southern Illinois. They both had been looking forward to the dark skies and said they would be back next year. Jason, Kevin and I had our imaging rigs going while we did some visual observing on the field, I know I had two great nights imaging the Swan Nebula, M17.

Even if you don't want to camp out, you should still try and come out to for the views during the star party, it is a great time! See you next year
