Lunar Eclipse Visible in Lansing March 14

Writer: Chuck TChuck T

Get ready for a Lunar Eclipse in Lansing! It is a treat to see the moon get covered in the Earth's shadow and we will have a great view here for the March 14 Lunar Eclipse. You will need to rest up since the full eclipse does not start until 2:26am, with the deepest maximum eclipse at 2:58am!!

We will be having an Observing event out at Fox Park Observatory! Come out with your telescope or Binoculars to get some views, or just come out to enjoy the views with the observatory scopes. Will will be projecting the Moon on the Monitor inside the observatory along with having a few different telescopes set up.

If you want to learn how to photograph a lunar eclipse this will be a great opportunity.

We should be opening the Observatory around 11pm if not earlier. Hope to see you there.
